This past weekend we visited Napa and St. Helena, indulging in fine foods, wine, and lounging garden side with wonderful friends. Autumn is a great time to visit Napa. You can bask in the sun of our Indian summer while enjoying the vibrant hues of Fall. It was a clear Autumn day as the leaves descended to the ground and dried just enough to crunch beneath your feet. The serene setting, excellent company and delicious warm sunshine were just the recipe for a relaxing day out.
The grapes were beckoning to be plucked off the vine,
on this clear Autumn day.
The skies always seem to be blue when we visit Napa. On this particular day, we stopped at the Silver Oaks Winery.
Fall was in full effect.
We also visited the Beringer estate for wine tasting, where you can sit out on the patio to enjoy your wine.
Their gift shop in their mansion has pretty stained windows throughout.
Their gardens had an array of flowers, plants, and fruit trees,
with their vineyards in the background
